CBF is able to provide trees to schools and school-related groups that participate in our Chesapeake Classrooms Professional Learning or Field Education Programs. This ensures that teachers and students are well supported in their tree planting and that the restoration practice is incorporated into the curriculum. Additional resources can be found on the PA Game Commission's Seedlings for Schools program website.
The Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership has six different workgroups: Advisory Workgroup, Finance Workgroup, Science Workgroup, Planting Workgroup, Messaging Workgroup, Grower-Supply Workgroup. Workgroup participation is not required but requested.
Any trees provided by the Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership to any partners are expected to be logged in the GIS Tree Tracker within a month of the tree planting. When logging the trees in the GIS Tree Tracker, all partners will have the option to report their tree counts to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP) via the PracticeKeeper and/or Field Docs integration. The Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership recognizes that trees provided to partners may not be the sole funding source for that planting and partners have the option to recognize all funding sources within their reporting for transparency and accuracy.
Partners have the option but are highly encouraged to log trees that are not provided by the Keystone 10 Million Trees partnership. This option allows partners to count their tree planting work towards the shared goals of the Keystone 10 Million Trees Partnership.
Note: Only groups that have been through the formal application process and officially selected as Partners can use the Keystone 10 Million Trees logo, name, and/or boilerplate language designating themselves as a Partnership member in printed materials, on websites, in presentations, or to the media and public.
